From 1994 to 2010 we produced our red, rose and white wines made by a well known local oenologue Philippe Croce Spinelli. The last vendange in 2010 was excellent quality and we still have socks of all the three red wines that we selling off at prices set in 2004. The roses and whites have all gone.
We decided to end our wine production in 2010 partly because I was reaching 76 years old and because the prices had not changed since 2002 and it became unprofitable.
The old carignon vines produced a very easy drinking smooth red vin de pays 2010 that goes with all most any food or as an aperitif. This is sold at 30 euros for a carton of 6 bottles, very good value for an exclllent wine.
Our Cuvee Amiral Cabernet Sauvignon that appeared in the 2006 Guide Hachette with the comment
“de fins aromes de fruits rouge, meles de touches animals. La bouche equilibree se developpe longement sur fruits
savouroux”. There have been other very favourable comments on this wine.
We have a small quantity of the same wine of 2008 and rather more of the 2010 that we bottled as vin de pays. Both of these sell at 50 euros per carton of 6. This is a wine that will keep improving but is also ready to drink now. The equivalent prices for comparable wines are almost around twice the price, but we have to sell off at least part of our stock as we cannot drink it all ourselves.
